Generic Simulation Tools Based on MAS Organization
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents generic simulation tools which rely on an original methodological approach of designing multi-agent simulators. We will see that these tools are generic specially because they are not related to a particular scheduling method. On the contrary they aim at providing facilities that allow to design complex activation structures that remain comprehensible, analyzable and moreover modifiable, thanks to a problem division. To achieve this, the main idea of this methodology is to express the multi-agent system (MAS) simulator as a particular MAS itself and use explicitly its subjacent organizational structure. We will show how the Aalaadin organizational model enables us to finely apply such a methodology. Precisely, we will present a particular agent of MadKit (the platform that relies on Aalaadin): the Scheduler agent and its tool called Activator.

ions for conceptual and computational modeling. Thus, the developers often require the necessary acquisition of new skills to understand and design with the MAS methodologies. As a consequence, the creation of applications is very hard and difficult for the MAS developer, because there is no agreement about a common group of components that can be used across different MAS methodologies and pla...

GEAMAS is a knowledge engineering environment for multi-agent simulation of complex systems. The basic architecture of GEAMAS is designed around three dimensions: MultiAgent Systems (MAS) software design, MAS knowledge abstraction and MAS services dimension. Each one of this third aspects, is implemented into several modular open software layers. First, the paper argues the benefits of a such a...

The concept of social production and management of urban ecosystems may be understood as the generationof newphysical or relational situations, by constructing, transformingor eliminatingphysical and/or relational objects or ensuring the fulfillment of their social and environmental functions. This includes the citizen participation in the process of urban planning and transformation, forming a...
متن کاملGeosimulation and its Application to Urban Growth Modeling
Automata-based models have enjoyed widespread application to urban simulation in recent years. Cellular automata (CA) and multi-agent systems (MAS) have been particularly popular. However, CA and MAS are often confused. In many instances, CA are paraphrased as agent-based models and simply re-interpreted as MAS. This is interesting from a geographical standpoint, because the two may be distingu...

Despite the effort of many researchers in the area of multi-agent systems (MAS) for designing and programming agents, a few years ago the research community began to take into account that common features among different MAS exists. Based on these common features, several tools have tackled the problem of agent development on specific application domains or specific types of agents. As a conseq...
